This tablet is a kinase inhibitor working as a targetted therapy for patients diagnosed with advanced breast cancer, kidney cancer and non-cancerous kidney (angiomyolipoma) and brain tumors (SEGA). Everolimus 5mg tablet is also used as an immunosuppressant for organ transplant rejection by modifying immune responses.  Mechanism target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway (responsible for the multiplication of cells and forming new blood vessels)  is targetted to cut off the blood supply needed for the cancer cells to survive. Take the tablet daily at the same time with food or without food. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice should be strictly avoided. Take the tablet as adviced by the doctor.
